My degree in Early Childhood Education was received from Bergen Community College.I began my career in Head Start, but have been happily teaching at the Bergen Community College Child Development Center since September of 1985.

I am a member of,and conduct workshops for the National Association for the Education of Young Children and the National Coalition for Campus Children's Centers. I am also a member of the North American Reggio Emilia Alliance and an active member of the Monarch Teacher Network.

My hobbies include hiking,canoeing, wildlife-watching,rearing  butterflies ,gardening,photography,reading and Letterboxing .I live in a log cabin with my husband Richie, my cat Zoe and my guinea pig Rudy. It is a pleasure for me to share my love of nature,life and learning with children.I look forward to a year of exploring together.

Nurturing a Love of Learning

 Each child is respected. Their ideas are valued. My goal is to provide an environment that is rich in opportunities for children to explore and experience the wonder of learning.

If …

If I can

ask my own questions,
try out my ideas,
experience what’s around me,
share what I find;

If I have

plenty of time for
my special pace,
a nourishing space,
things to transform;

If you’ll be

my patient friend,
trusted guide,
fellow investigator,
partner in learning

Then I will

explore the world,
discover my voice,

and tell you what I know
in a hundred languages
